What I’m focused on right now.
A snapshot of the current month. Refreshed regularly, and I never delete the old ones — the archive lives at /now/archive.
Work
- Finishing month 7 of the Aurora design-system engagement. Two months to go; mostly documentation work and the migration of the last 60 components.
- Starting a small advisory engagement with a Series-A SaaS in Berlin. Two days a month.
- Slowly drafting the next essay — on opinionated systems versus prescriptive ones. Probably May or June.
Letterpress
- Just shipped the v2 reader. Subscriber feedback has been good. I’m biased; I built it.
- Up to 4,200 paid subscribers, +180 in March. Growth is steady.
Reading
- The Wager by David Grann. Two-thirds in.
- Re-reading The Design of Everyday Things for the third time. It still teaches me something on every reading.
- Slow Productivity by Cal Newport — just started.
Outside
- Running 3×/week, slowly.
- Tomato season starting at the allotment. The plants are ahead of last year by about a fortnight.
- Speaking at Config in May; flying to SF for the first time in 18 months.
This page is inspired by Derek Sivers’ /now movement. There’s a whole directory of people doing the same thing — worth a browse.
