Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 19, 2026

Cookies are how the modern web remembers you between page loads. This page lists every cookie iOmSoft sets, why we set it, and how to turn off the ones you don't want.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to store on your device. They let the site remember things — that you're logged in, what currency you chose, which pages you've already seen — without re-asking on every click. Cookies can't access files on your computer or run code; they're just strings of text.

We also use closely related technologies — localStorage, sessionStorage, and the occasional tracking pixel — and we treat them all under this policy.

2. Types We Use

We group cookies into four categories. Strictly necessary cookies are always on; the other three you control.

Strictly Necessary

Keep the site working — login sessions, security tokens, load balancing, and your cookie preferences. Can't be turned off without breaking core functionality.

Performance

Anonymous, aggregated stats — which pages get visited, how fast they load, where errors happen. Helps us spot slow pages and fix what's broken.

Functional

Remember choices like language, theme (light/dark), recently viewed items, and the dismissal state of helper banners. Optional but improve the experience.

Marketing

Measure the effectiveness of our ad campaigns and (rarely) retarget visitors. Off by default — we only set these if you opt in.

3. First vs. Third-Party

First-party cookies are set by iOmSoft directly (iomsoft.com). These cover session, security, and preferences — the boring but essential stuff.

Third-party cookies are set by services we embed — Razorpay's checkout, our analytics provider, YouTube embeds, and similar. We only embed services we've vetted, and we disclose them here. Each third party operates under its own privacy and cookie policy, which we link to where they appear.

4. Analytics

We use lightweight analytics to understand which pages are useful and which aren't. Specifically:

  • Plausible Analytics — privacy-friendly, cookie-less by default. Captures aggregate page-view counts and referrers without identifying you.
  • Google Analytics 4 (optional, off by default) — used for campaign attribution. Only loaded if you accept “performance” cookies in the consent banner. IP addresses are anonymised and we've disabled ad personalisation.

We do not sell or share analytics data with third-party data brokers.

5. Advertising

iOmSoft.com doesn't carry third-party display ads. We may occasionally run LinkedIn or Google Ads campaigns to reach new customers, which can place a conversion pixel on the landing pages those ads point to. These pixels are strictly opt-in via the cookie banner and are scoped to measuring whether a visitor signed up — not building an advertising profile of you.

6. Manage Your Choices

You have three layers of control:

  • Our consent banner — when you first visit the site, you choose which optional categories to allow. Click the Cookies link in the footer at any time to reopen the banner and change your mind.
  • Your browser settings — every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies entirely. Search your browser's help for “manage cookies”. Note that blocking all cookies will break login and checkout.
  • Global Privacy Control — we honour the GPC signal. If your browser sends it, we treat that as an opt-out from non-essential cookies, even before you see the banner.

7. Changes

As we add or remove integrations, this list will change. We'll bump the “Last updated” date at the top and, for material additions (say, a new advertising tag), re-prompt you via the consent banner so you can decide.

8. Contact

Want a full list of every cookie name and its expiration, or to escalate a concern? Email privacy@iomsoft.com and we'll get back within one business day.

We're happy to walk through which cookies fire on which page if you're auditing the site or running a DPIA.
