We started Travel & Tourism demo because the trips we wanted to take didn’t exist on the shelves of high-street travel agents. Eleven years and 9,200 travellers later, we’re still building each itinerary the same way — one at a time, by people who’ve been there.
Why we’re different
Most tour operators have a sales team and a fulfilment team. We don’t. The person who quotes your trip is the person who builds it, and you’ll often work with the same planner for every trip you take with us. That continuity is the whole point.
We don’t take commissions from hotels or restaurants. We pay rack rate for the rooms we recommend. That’s why our recommendations are independent — if a hotel slips, it comes off the list.
What we won’t do
- Group tours bigger than 12.
- Itineraries we haven’t personally walked.
- Resorts that aren’t boutique. We’ll happily recommend a beach club but we won’t book you into a 600-room beachfront chain.
- Cruises, except small-ship Galápagos and Antarctic.
What we believe
Slow travel
Three nights minimum in any destination. You can’t see a place in 36 hours; we don’t pretend otherwise.
Local guides only
We don’t fly tour managers in. Every guide we work with lives in the place you’re visiting.
Independent recommendations
We take no commissions from hotels, restaurants, or activity operators. You see every invoice.
Financial protection
Every booking ATOL + ABTA protected. Money held in trust until your trip is done.
Carbon-considered
We don’t do offset theatre. We do book direct flights, recommend train where it’s sensible, and avoid empty positioning legs.
